Updating Your Home for Spring
Even though many parts of California enjoy warmer weather all year round, it’s still nice to refresh our homes with the changing of the seasons. With spring right around the corner, the Deja Blue Home Staging & Design team is here to give you some tips to help you update your home for the season of renewal.
First, the Fabrics
Switching out heavy, darker-colored fabrics for more light-weight materials in spring-themed colors is a quick, easy way to welcome spring into your home. Stow away any cable knit or wool blankets and replace them with cotton blends or linen. You can keep a room’s theme neutral and still enjoy color by layering shades of the same tone—think white with pale pinks or lavender.
You can also change up your window coverings. Spring is a time for sunshine and fresh air, and no shade makes your home feel light and airy the way sheer shadings do.
